Autism spectrum disorder (ASD) is known to be a developmental illness due to the fact that its manifestations typically surface within the first two years of life. Nevertheless, the condition can be diagnosed at any age. Alternative medicines, otherwise known as Complementary and alternative medicines (CAM) are medications practices in health care that are not used by doctors at all; and have been utilized in the management of autism. The study aims to evaluate the preference of parents of children with autism spectrum disorder to use complementary alternative modalities (CAM) versus pharmaceutical therapies.
