Next Wednesday, October 27th is World Occupational Therapy Day, Backpack Awareness Day AND the OT Global Day of Service.
An initiative of Dr Karen Jacobs, Boston University, USA, the OT Global Day of Service (OTGDS) has taken place for the past several years, encouraging occupational therapy practitioners and students to promote the work of our profession by volunteering in community projects.
How can YOU take part? OTGDS is a “Pay it Forward Initiative” that calls you to volunteer a small amount of your time to make a BIG difference in the world. As an occupational therapy practitioner or occupational therapy student, you are the best ambassador for promoting the work of our profession.
“Changing the World Through Volunteering!”
We thank you in advance for participating in Occupational Therapy Global Day of Service (OTGDS) 2021 and International Backpack Awareness Day (2021)! You are helping to spread the word about the distinct value of occupational therapy around the globe.
