SENIOR SOCIAL WORKERS! If you’re looking for an opportunity to supervise in a specialized setting for children, we have the perfect position for you!

Our specialized setting in Rockville, MD has an opening for a full-time Licensed Clinical Social Work Supervisor for the lower/middle school program ASAP. This school serves students in kindergarten through 8th grade with language and learning disabilities, autism, intellectual disabilities, and/or other health impairments that affect their learning. We address the individual needs of each student to facilitate success at home, school, and in the community.

* Integrated team approach by special education teachers, speech language pathologists, occupational therapists, and social workers

Responsibilities of the Social Work Supervisor Include:
* Supervise approximately 3-4 school-based social workers
* Maintain some direct clinical work with students to provide IEP counseling services
* Utilize Positive Behavior Interventions and Supports (PBIS) to foster student growth, both academically and behaviorally

School Social Work Supervisor Required Skills:
* Master’s degree (MSW) in social work
* MD Board of Social Work Clinical Supervisor certification/license with supervisory experience
* Minimum of 4 years of clinical experience in counseling or school social work, including working with children with autism and a variety of learning disabilities
* Experience with educational agencies, special needs populations, and interdisciplinary teams helpful
* Must maintain current licensure and certification status consistent with state and professional standards
