Pediatric occupational therapist Lindsey Biel, M.A., OTR/L shares how parents can build their ‘sensory smarts’ and identify our children’s sensory needs. We’re talking about self-regulation, early signs of sensory processing differences, why we should all get dancing in the kitchen, and how to get through hairwashing with fewer tears. We also talk about creative ways to help our kids release all that pent up energy. Wanna go for a monster walk, anyone? (We’ll explain).
Lindsey Biel and Nance Peske are co-authors of the NAPPA Gold Award and iParenting Media Award winning book Raising a Sensory Smart Child: The Definitive Handbook for Helping Your Child with Sensory Processing Issues, with its revised and updated issue out this week!
