FMLA Itinerant Teacher of the Deaf and Hard of Hearing- DHH

Location : Algonquin, IL
Salary : Depends on Experience

We are seeking a Deaf and Hard of Hearing Teacher to cover an FMLA position in a great school district starting ASAP through the end of October.  

Duties include:
 

  • Provide direct and consultative services to students with Deaf and Hard of Hearing
  • This is a full-time position, 5-days a week
  • Developing language, communication, and self-advocacy skills with students of various abilities;
  • Developing and implementing IEPs and lesson plans within the classroom
  • This is an Itinerant position, so some travel between near campuses is necessary 
  • There is potential for continued work after maternity leave coverage is complete

Qualifications: You must be an Illinois licensed teacher of the deaf and hard of hearing, have a PEL with a Deaf/Hard of Hearing Endorsement, and be fluent in Sign Language
