How many hours per week do you need? If part time, are there specific days/times requested? We are looking for 40 hours per week

How would you describe the level of severity of your student body? The majority of our population are students with an eligibility or dx of autism (mostly level 1, some level 2). All are highly verbal, but do have regulation needs and some can struggle with externalizing behaviors.

Is there a high population of ED/BD kids? We do have students with comorbidities and can fall in this category, though most of our students have a primary of autism.

Are there other OTs on campus? Not at this time, our current OT will be on leave.

Will our OT be working alongside other clinicians? We have a multidisciplinary team with clinical therapists, speech therapists, art therapists, music therapists, vocational counselors, restorative interventions and teaching and support staff.

Do you have an idea of caseload/minutes? We have 70 total students,about 75% have minutes for OT

Anything else you'd like us to know? We are looking for someone active and who takes initiative to support our students' sensory needs across the building and through OT groups.

Is there a specific experience level you're looking for? We are looking for an Occupational Therapist with school and/or pediatric experience, experience working with ASD population and neurodivergent cases). We'd also love someone who is familiar or comfortable with IEPs
There's also an opportunity to work extended school year, if desired, as well as contract renewal for next school year. With a renewal, you'll be eligible to maintain your health benefits with no Cobra payment. We also offer a year round pay plan for August starts.
Qualifications: You will need to hold a Master's Degree (or higher) in Occupational Therapy and a current state license (or be eligible for same). At least one year of experience working with kids.
